A few weeks before the 2013-14 school year ended, a colleague approached me with an opportunity to have a completely new experience in the 2014-15 school year, that of being an "Instructional Coach". My decision is obvious and I'm surprised by the ease in which I made it. I neither questioned "Why" nor "Why not?". I simply was in the moment and was willing to take a step forward into the unknown. I don't have a schedule, I don't have a 100+ students' names to learn, and I don't have an office chair in the classroom of a vacant building (my shared office). But, I do have one idea clear in my mind: I will do my very best to serve teachers for student learning.
